When the couple brought the trapped woman to the street, the saviors claimed she disappeared.

The Canarios subdivision of Altamira has more reasons to be afraid of the unknown after an alleged ghost woman was pulled from a fire in what was thought to be an uninhabited apartment.

During a mid-November night at 4 am, a fire was spotted on the fourth floor in a street-facing bedroom. Most of the people in the building were bringing buckets of water to help put out the fire but some neighbors claimed to hear a woman asking for help.

A couple, after hearing the calls for help, said they forced open the door and evacuated the woman from the building. When the couple brought the trapped woman to the street, the saviors claimed she disappeared.

The couple began to look for her but others that live in the building said the apartment was uninhabited and there could not be a woman.

After the flames died down, curious neighbors entered the home of the mysterious woman. Residents claim there was a smoked candle in a back room, a mason bench, and a small mirror. There were no signs of a person living in the apartment for some time.

The story of this fire and ghostly rescue have spread throughout the subdivision quickly. The couple that helped the woman escape are now afraid because they believe they helped a ghost leave the apartment.
